HOLIDAY EVENING «КӨРІСУ – НАУРЫЗДЫҢ БАСТАУЫ»

On March 14, Kazakhstanis celebrate “Көрісу”. This day is considered the beginning of a new year. In honor of this event in the walls of Amanzholov University held a festive evening «Көрісу – Наурыздың бастауы».

The event began with a welcoming speech of the vice-rector for educational and social work Zhanneta Amangeldievna.

– On the first day of the decade “«Наурызнама» прошел «Көрісу күні» – a holiday symbolizing good wishes, strengthening ties between people and popularization of national values. Today, many people congratulate each other through social networks, but live communication and sincere warm words are much more important, – said the Vice-Rector.
During the event was presented the rite of Көрісу, and students prepared stage performances reflecting the traditions of the Kazakh people. Students of the second year of the educational program “Pedagogy and Methodology of Elementary Education” staged rituals associated with important stages in the life of Kazakhs: «Сүйінші» (glad tidings), «Тұсау кесу» (cutting of the baby’s wounds) and «Қыз ұзату» (seeing off the bride).

The cultural program of the evening was filled with national flavor. Students sang Kazakh songs, and dance groups presented folk dances. The national game «Арқан тарту» (tug of war) was also organized, in which the participants took an active part.

At the end of the holiday, the audience enjoyed the performance of the song “Nauryz-koktem”, once again feeling the importance of Nauryz as a symbol of unity and national traditions.

This day became a significant event aimed at reviving and preserving folk traditions, strengthening unity and friendship.
