A MEETING OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WITH A LAWYER: EXPERIENCE IN DEFENDING CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS

Students of the “Jurisprudence” and “Judicial and Prosecutorial Activity” programs at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University met with renowned and experienced lawyer Klara Nurkasova to enhance their professional skills and expand their legal literacy. The event was dedicated to the topic “The Role of a Lawyer in Defending Human Constitutional Rights.”

The main purpose of the meeting was to develop students’ professional understanding of rights protection, explain the role of the bar in building a rule-of-law state, and familiarize them with modern approaches to defending citizens’ constitutional rights in judicial processes.

During the event, Klara Nurkasova provided detailed insights into the specifics of legal practice, ethical standards, the importance of trust between lawyer and client, and defense strategies in criminal and civil cases. Answering students’ questions and providing concrete examples from her practice, she discussed current challenges in law enforcement.

The discussion also actively involved faculty members Gulmira Bayrkenova and Yerlan Badenbaev, who contributed significantly to the depth of the meeting. They emphasized the importance of the bar in strengthening the rule of law in the country and encouraged future lawyers to continually develop their research and professional skills.
