THE RESULTS OF THE REGIONAL PSYCHOLOGY OLYMPIAD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

From November 17 to December 12, 2025, the Department of Psychology and Special Education of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a regional psychology olympiad among 11th-grade students of schools in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk and the East Kazakhstan region.

Gifted students from urban and district educational institutions of the region participated in the intellectual competition. The main goal of the olympiad was to increase students’ interest in psychology, provide professional orientation, and motivate them to choose a career as a psychologist.

The olympiad consisted of two stages. The final stage took place on December 12 and included special tasks aimed at assessing the participants’ analytical abilities, depth of thinking, and creative approach. Students presented their own views on current psychological issues and demonstrated a high level of logical reasoning.

By decision of the jury, the main prize was awarded to Zhanerke Bauyrzhankyzy Shegenova, a student of KGU “Shiliktinskaya Secondary School” under the Zaisan District Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Regional Education Office. The winner received a four-year university grant for the educational program in psychology.

The prize winners, who took first, second, and third places, as well as the winners of special nominations, will be awarded diplomas. All participants of the olympiad will receive certificates, and the teacher-psychologists who prepared the students will be presented with letters of appreciation.
