LAUREATE OF THE REPUBLICAN CONTEST “ARU-ANA” ALIYA AKHMEDZHANOVA AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Today, a meeting between students and Aliya Akhmedzhanova, laureate of the Republican Contest “Aru-Ana” in the nomination “Best Project in the Field of Civic Identity Development”, was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. For the implementation of a socially significant project, she was awarded by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Aliya Akhmedzhanova presented the project “Students on Ice” and spoke about the importance of youth participation in social initiatives. According to her, such projects allow students to unlock their potential and gain practical experience and skills that cannot always be acquired within the academic learning process.

The goal of the “Students on Ice” project is to train students in professional figure skating from a beginner level, with the involvement of candidates for master of sports titles. The program is designed for six months, after which participants will be able to take part in competitions. Through their performances, they will address and reflect socially significant issues using a creative and artistic approach. The project is implemented with sponsorship support and does not involve government funding.

“Within the framework of the project, young people acquire skills and competencies that may be in demand in the labor market. Regular training helps them adopt a healthy lifestyle, while the project itself promotes sports and brings real benefits to society. Moreover, it helps young people avoid social risks such as isolation and poverty,” Aliya Akhmedzhanova noted.

The meeting was held in the format of a live dialogue: students asked questions, expressed interest in participating in the project, and shared their own ideas. The event attracted great interest from the audience and became a useful platform for discussing the role of social initiatives in the development of youth and civic consciousness.
