A POETRY EVENING “ZHYRLAYDY ZHUREK” TOOK PLACE ON THE STAGE OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh poet and a bright pinnacle of national poetry, Mukagali Makataev, a poetry evening titled “Zhyrlaidy Zhurek” was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event was organized by the student theater “Shabyt” in cooperation with the University’s Department of Educational and Social Work.

The literary and musical evening became a spiritual gathering that united poetry and theatrical art and contributed to strengthening respect for the art of the written word. The main purpose of the poetry evening was the spiritual enrichment of students, the wide promotion of the deep content and artistic power of Mukagali Makataev’s poetry, and the strengthening of love for the national literary heritage.

The poetry evening featured the participation of a senior lecturer of the Department of Chemistry at East Kazakhstan University, Master of Natural Sciences Sän Sovetbekovna, as well as a veteran educator, local historian, and historian Bakytbek Nugumanov, whose presence added special intellectual depth to the event.

The opening of the event was marked by a welcoming speech by Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work Zhanneta Kalimoldina, who expressed warm wishes to the participants of the poetry evening and highly praised the creative potential of the student youth.

During the evening, the poet’s heartfelt verses were presented in synthesis with theatrical elements: artistic readings and poetic compositions were performed on stage. The productions of the student theater “Shabyt” vividly раскрыли themes of patriotism, love, the philosophy of life, and moral values reflected in the poet’s work.

As part of the event, “Open Microphone” segments were organized, during which students recited their favorite poems and shared their creative reflections. This format encouraged greater participant engagement and further enriched the spiritual content of the evening.

At the conclusion of the event, active members of the student theater “Shabyt,” who made a significant contribution to the organization and conduct of the poetry evening, were awarded certificates of appreciation and honors on behalf of the university rector.

The poetry evening was warmly received by the audience and was remembered as a meaningful literary event that gave new impetus to the cultural and духовной life of the student community.
