AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY, A MEETING WAS HELD TO EXPLAIN THE NEW CONSTITUTION PROJECT.

At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, an important meeting was held to explain the draft of the New Constitution. Amanzholov University, supporting the ongoing constitutional reforms in the country, regularly organizes informative events aimed at increasing legal awareness among youth and fostering civic responsibility.

This meeting continued these initiatives. University students received comprehensive information about the essence and significance of the constitutional changes in the country. The event was conducted in an open dialogue format, allowing participants to freely express their opinions.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Board — the university rector, professor, and deputy of the VIII convocation of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Maslikhat, Mukhtar Tolegen. In his speech, he noted that the Constitution is the fundamental law of the state, and the draft of the New Constitution is aimed at modernizing society and forming a just state. He also emphasized the importance of active youth participation in socio-political processes.

The Executive Secretary of the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the AMANAT Party, Zhanat Mekeeyeva, spoke about the role of constitutional reforms in improving the political system. She highlighted the significance of the proposed changes for the country’s development and the strengthening of social stability.

The Director of the Labor Mobility Center of the East Kazakhstan Region and deputy of the VIII convocation of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Maslikhat, Araylym Yesimbekova, addressed the impact of the New Constitution draft on the social sphere, labor relations, and social protection of the population. In her speech, she particularly emphasized the principle of “Law and Order” in the Constitution, underlining the decisive role of law enforcement and maintaining public order in forming a rule-of-law state.

The floor was then given to Zoya Novolodskaya, deputy of the VIII convocation of the Regional Maslikhat, who explained how the proposed constitutional amendments would affect local self-government and the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms.

The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which students and guests exchanged views on the draft Constitution. The meeting ended with a group commemorative photo.

Overall, the meeting at Amanzholov University aimed to increase legal literacy among youth, foster a conscious attitude toward the reforms being carried out in the country, and strengthen an active civic position.
