MEETING WITH SCIENTISTS: DISCUSSION HELD ON DIGITALIZATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ISSUES

Current issues raised at the extended meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan were comprehensively discussed today during a meeting with scholars at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, initiated by Rector Mukhtar Tolegen. The initiatives presented under the theme “Higher Education and Science: The Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence” serve as important guidelines shaping the development of modern science.

During the substantive and productive meeting, special attention was given to the development of national science, improving the quality of research, and strengthening the university’s scientific potential. The key directions outlined at the ministerial meeting — digitalization, the integration of artificial intelligence into research and educational activities, and the improvement of research management — were discussed in detail at the university level.

The meeting highlighted the research achievements of the university’s scholars and their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region. In addition, participants widely discussed issues related to supporting young scientists, training research personnel, implementing research results into practice, and developing innovative projects. The importance of systematic work in these areas was strongly emphasized.

The meeting was held in an open dialogue format. Scholars proposed measures to enhance research infrastructure, expand international cooperation, and strengthen academic freedom.
