REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NATIONAL COALITION DISCUSSED CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Representatives of the Nationwide Coalition “For the People’s Constitution of a Just and Progressive Kazakhstan!” met with the faculty and students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event was dedicated to explaining the main directions of the constitutional reform being carried out in Kazakhstan and establishing an open dialogue with members of society.
The delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Culture and Information, Deputy Chairperson of the Republican Constitutional Commission Aida Balayeva. The meeting was also attended by Akim of East Kazakhstan Region Nurymbet Saktaganov, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Constitutional Reform Commission, public figures, and industry experts.
During the meeting, Aida Balayeva emphasized the strategic importance of the new Constitution project for the country’s development. According to her, the proposed constitutional amendments are aimed at building a knowledge-based economy, enhancing the role of human capital, and ensuring long-term sustainable development.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that in the new Constitution, the fields of education, science, culture, and innovation are defined as key state priorities. These areas contribute to increasing the country’s global competitiveness and enable young people to fully realize their potential.
In addition, Aida Balayeva highlighted the special role of the President in shaping the concept of the new Constitution, emphasizing that the initiatives “Adal Azamat,” “Law and Order,” and “Taza Kazakhstan” have become the conceptual core of the Constitution.
The meeting also addressed the impact of the constitutional reform on public life, the expansion of citizens’ rights and freedoms, and the improvement of the public administration system. Faculty members and students of the university shared their opinions and asked questions of interest.
In conclusion, the participants noted that the meeting was held in a substantive and open format focused on discussing the country’s future. Such events contribute to enhancing citizens’ legal culture and broad public understanding of the essence and significance of the constitutional reform.
