A DISCUSSION OF SOCIAL FILMS WAS HELD AT SARSEN AMANZHOLOV EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE IDEOLOGY “LAW AND ORDER”
A preventive event for students was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University aimed at developing legal culture, critical thinking, and preventing unlawful behavior among young people. The meeting was organized by the university administration together with academic group curators and specialists of the psychological and pedagogical service.
As part of the event, students were presented with two social short films — “Khuliganka” and “Ne Knizhnye Zakladki”, followed by an active discussion of the issues raised in them.
The first film, “Khuliganka”, addresses the topic of bullying, aggression, and psychological pressure in the youth environment. During the discussion, students talked about the causes of aggressive behavior, the influence of surroundings and peer groups on a person’s decisions, and the consequences of bullying for all participants in a conflict. Participants noted that the desire to be accepted in a group, fear of isolation, and the need for self-assertion often become factors that push young people to take part in bullying and violent actions.
Special attention was given to issues of personal responsibility, the ability to resist pressure from others, and the importance of supporting victims. During the discussion, students concluded that the development of a culture of respectful communication and zero tolerance toward bullying are important conditions for a safe educational environment.
The second film, “Ne Knizhnye Zakladki”, was devoted to the problem of involving young people in illegal schemes through offers of “easy money” distributed on social networks and messengers. After watching the film, students discussed manipulation mechanisms used by offenders, as well as the illusion of ease and impunity that often misleads young people.
During the discussion, typical signs of suspicious offers, the so-called “red flags”, were examined. Participants were also informed about possible legal consequences of participating in illegal activities, including criminal liability for the distribution of narcotic substances.
The moderators of the meeting emphasized that even indirect participation in illegal schemes, including carrying out tasks from so-called “curators”, is a violation of the law and may lead to serious legal consequences.
The final stage of the event was reflection, during which students shared their conclusions and noted the importance of making conscious choices, maintaining a critical attitude toward suspicious offers, and being ready to seek help from teachers, psychologists, or law enforcement agencies.
Such events contribute to improving the legal and social awareness of young people, forming responsible behavior, and developing a culture of safe communication in the student community.
