A PRACTICAL SEMINAR WITH PARTICIPATION OF REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC INVESTIGATIONS WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
A practical seminar with the participation of representatives from the Department of Economic Investigations was held at Amanzholov University.
On March 12, 2026, as part of the methodological decade of the Higher School of Business and Law, a practical seminar titled “Service in the Economic Investigations Authorities: Professional Requirements and the Role of Micro-Qualifications in Specialist Training” took place at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event was attended by representatives of the Department of Economic Investigations of the East Kazakhstan Region.
Among the invited guests were Zhanar Taigaranova, Head of the Organizational and Control Department of the Department of Economic Investigations of the East Kazakhstan Region; Raihan Rakhmatullina, Head of the Administrative Department; Alina Samarkhan, operative-investigator, psychologist, and polygraph specialist; as well as investigators for particularly important cases Azamat Zhumanov and Zhandos Muztauov.
During the seminar, Zhanar Taigaranova provided students with detailed information about the specifics of joining the economic investigations authorities, the requirements for candidates, the stages of personnel selection, and the professional activities of the department’s staff.
Special attention was given to the micro-qualification “Methods of Investigating Economic Crimes,” which is aimed at developing the professional competencies students need for conducting pre-trial investigations. Within this program, students study the classification of economic crimes, preparation of procedural documents, conduct of investigative actions, work with information systems, and methods for identifying, tracking, and securing criminal proceeds in accordance with current legislation, forensic practice, and modern analytical tools.
During the training, students not only master theoretical materials but also develop practical skills through case studies, simulate investigative actions, analyze real case materials, and prepare a model criminal case based on a given scenario, followed by its defense before an expert commission.
The department representatives also informed students about the upcoming National Financial Security Olympiad, in which students from 2nd to 4th year of the educational programs in Economics and Management, Finance, Law, IT, and International Relations can participate.
Participation in the Olympiad provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in the field of financial security and economic crime prevention, as well as to develop analytical and professional skills necessary for their future careers.
At the conclusion of the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss professional development prospects in the field of economic security. The practical seminar was conducted in a constructive and informative atmosphere, allowing students to receive valuable practical guidance from experienced professionals.
Such events help strengthen the university’s collaboration with government agencies, enhance students’ professional orientation, and develop the competencies future specialists need for successful professional activity.
