THE HIGHER COLLEGE CELEBRATED “KÓRISU KÚNI” – THE AMAL FESTIVAL

The staff and students of the Higher College of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University marked the first day of the Nauryznama decade – Kórisu kúni (the Amal Festival). Rooted in national traditions, the event sought to strengthen spiritual values that foster unity and mutual understanding among both faculty and students. The initiative was organized by the Subject-Cycle Commission “Natural Science Disciplines.”

Kórisu kúni is one of the oldest and most cherished customs of the Kazakh people. On this day, people meet, inquire about each other’s well-being, exchange warm greetings, and offer sincere wishes for prosperity. As part of the celebration, the college community visited the Abai East Kazakhstan Humanitarian College, where they extended festive greetings to their colleagues in accordance with national traditions and emphasized the cultural significance of Nauryz.

The festive program featured traditional rituals, as well as performances of folk songs and kyuis, all promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The event was filled with heartfelt words and sincere wishes. Students and teachers wore traditional costumes, contributing to the revival and preservation of customs that reflect the unique identity of Kazakh culture.

 

This event marked the beginning of the Nauryznama celebrations and served as a meaningful educational initiative aimed at strengthening national values within the academic environment. Both informative and spiritually enriching, the celebration fostered creative cooperation between educational institutions and contributed to the promotion of national culture.
