AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: DIGITAL NAURYZ-2026: A CELEBRATION WHERE NATIONAL SPIRIT AND TRADITIONS COME TOGETHER

March 22 is the Great Day of Nauryz, one of the most revered holidays of the Kazakh people. This day symbolizes the renewal of nature, the balance of day and night, and the beginning of a new year. Nauryz is not only a period of natural renewal but also a time for a person’s spiritual rebirth.

The staff and students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University actively took part in the celebration. A yurt village, decorated in a national style, was set up in the central square. Inside the yurts, students warmly welcomed guests, performed kuis on the dombra, and created a festive atmosphere. Guests were also offered traditional dishes, allowing them to experience the generosity and hospitality of Nauryz.

Celebrating Nauryz in higher education institutions has become a good tradition. As part of such events, yurts are set up where national art is promoted, songs accompanied by the dombra are performed, and traditional dishes are served. The yurt, as a symbol of the culture and unity of the Kazakh people, holds special significance. Such initiatives help increase young people’s interest in national heritage.

At the same time, the “Digital Nauryz” format is becoming increasingly relevant, meeting the demands of modern times. Through social media, students promote national traditions, implement creative projects, and explore culture from a new perspective. This is a vivid example of the harmonious combination of tradition and innovation.

Nauryz is a holiday of unity and harmony, kindness and compassion. Therefore, it should be seen not only as a festive event but also as an important stage in promoting spiritual values. Only through the combination of education and upbringing can a conscious generation with a strong national identity be formed.
