STUDENTS OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY BECAME VOLUNTEERS AT THE INCLUSIVE SPARTAKIAD

Students from the Department of Psychology and Special Education at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University participated as volunteers in the inclusive Spartakiad “The Power of Differences,” held in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

The event involved students from the educational programs “Ergopedagogy,” “Early Support Pedagogy,” and “Special Education.” They provided support to participants and ensured comfortable and safe conditions for their involvement. In addition, the students accompanied participants, helping to create an atmosphere of friendship and mutual support.

The Spartakiad brought together children with special educational needs, their parents, and specialists from correctional and rehabilitation organizations.

The program of the event included:
— relay races,
— short-distance running,
— tug-of-war,
— arm wrestling,
— various active games aimed at strengthening team spirit.

This format allowed participants and their families to communicate, provide mutual support, and make new acquaintances. It also gave them the opportunity to spend time together and feel like equal members of society.

Student participation in such socially significant events is an important part of their professional training. It contributes to the development of competencies in inclusive education, as well as empathy and social responsibility among future specialists.

Inclusion means joint development, mutual support, and equal opportunities for every person.
