ISSUES OF LEGAL REGULATION OF LABOR RELATIONS DISCUSSED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Today, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted a seminar on the topic “Legal Regulation of Labor Relations.” The event was held in an offline format and was dedicated to discussing current issues of labor legislation.

The seminar was attended by the Head of the Department of Justice of the East Kazakhstan Region, Aigul Kumarovna Tuktybayeva; the Head of the Human Dimension Unit of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, licensed U.S. attorney Dr. Nicholas Mazik; as well as candidates of legal sciences and experienced lawyers.

During the opening session, the speakers emphasized the importance of the legal regulation of labor relations and highlighted the specifics of labor disputes in modern society.

In the main part of the seminar, Samal Bakytovna Serikbekova, a lawyer of the Almaty City Bar Association and candidate of legal sciences, provided a detailed explanation of the practical aspects of applying labor law norms. In particular, the types of labor disputes, procedures for their resolution, issues of modification and termination of employment relations, liability of the parties, and relevant judicial practice were discussed.

In addition, Mereke Tlekuly Gabdualiyev, a candidate of legal sciences, lawyer of the West Kazakhstan Regional Bar Association, and deputy of the regional maslikhat, delivered a presentation on the protection of labor rights of certain categories of employees. He focused on the specifics of protecting the rights of civil servants, civil employees, and law enforcement personnel.

During the event, participants asked questions to the speakers and received practice-oriented answers.

At the end of the seminar, the importance of effective application of labor legislation and the improvement of legal culture was emphasized.

The seminar served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the legal field and contributed to enhancing the professional competence of future lawyers and specialists.
