SCIENCE DAY AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

Students, master’s students, and faculty members of the Department of Chemistry organized an educational and meaningful event at KSU “School-Lyceum No. 34” for 10th-grade students. As part of Science Day, school students had the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with modern trends in chemical science and understand its role in education and professional development.

The main goal of the meeting was not only to provide information, but to actively engage students in the world of science. Participants demonstrated that chemistry is not only theory and formulas, but also a real tool for solving pressing modern challenges. The students and master’s students’ personal experiences attracted special interest: they shared stories about participating in research projects, startups, conferences, and competitions. This format helped break the stereotype of science being overly difficult and showed its accessibility to any motivated learner.

Special attention was given to cooperation between school and university. Department representatives spoke about opportunities for early involvement of school students in scientific activities, participation in joint projects, and the advantages of future university studies. This helped students see a clear educational pathway—from school to professional realization.

Such events play an important role in developing young people’s interest in science. They foster research thinking, motivate learning, and create a strong foundation for cooperation between educational institutions. Science Day at School-Lyceum No. 34 became a vivid example of how school–university collaboration can inspire the next generation toward scientific achievement.
