On May 5, the Department of Pedagogical Education and Management of Amanzholov University held a seminar on the topic “The Use of AI in School Teaching Methodology,” conducted by S.A. Shishkina, a methodologist from School-Lyceum No. 34 of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
During the event, participants were introduced to an overview of modern AI tools used in education. In particular, the capabilities of text assistants such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity AI, Google Gemini 1.5 Pro, Claude 3, Mistral LeChat, and NotebookLM were demonstrated. Participants were shown the advantages of these platforms in developing educational materials, working with texts, and organizing the educational process.
In addition, services such as Ideogram 2.0, Recraft, Curipod, and QuestionWell, designed for visualization and methodological support, were presented. The seminar discussed ways of creating images, infographics, interactive lessons, and test assignments using these tools. Midjourney and DALL-E platforms were also considered effective resources for preparing visual educational materials.
During the seminar, teachers discussed the possibilities of practical application of AI technologies, their advantages and limitations, ethical aspects of using artificial intelligence in schools, and ways of integrating digital technologies into the traditional educational process.
Participants highly appreciated the practical significance of the seminar and expressed interest in further developing cooperation between the school and the university in the field of digital transformation of education.
