Zhiger Sarsenbayev and Merkhat Almasuly, students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, took part in the second season of the national intellectual television program “AZAMAT.”

In the first game of the program, the university representatives demonstrated high-level preparation and secured a victory. During the discussion on the topic “Effective Ways to Improve Citizens’ Digital Literacy,” the participants shared their insights and exchanged opinions on issues of key societal importance.

The students addressed topics such as digital environment safety, effective information use, internet culture, and the importance of acquiring new skills in an era of rapid artificial intelligence development. In addition, they presented specific proposals to enhance the public’s digital literacy.

Today, amid the swift advancement of digital technologies and AI, increasing citizens’ digital literacy has become one of the most pressing priorities. The Head of State has also repeatedly emphasized that digitalization and AI development are central priorities for the nation’s progress.

It is particularly important that the number of young individuals capable of addressing critical issues and expressing their civic stance continues to grow. The active participation of university students in intellectual projects and their successful performances clearly reflect the high standard of education, erudition, and civic responsibility among today’s youth.
