XINJIANG AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY DELEGATION VISITS AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: NEW PROSPECTS FOR RESEARCH COOPERATION
Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted an important international meeting with a delegation from Xinjiang Agricultural University, one of the leading higher education institutions in the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting focused on developing international cooperation in science and higher education, implementing joint research projects, and strengthening academic ties.
The delegation included leading scholars in the fields of computer science, information engineering, agriculture, ecology, entomology, and digital technologies. In particular, the University was visited by Li Yongke, PhD, Associate Professor in Computer Science and Technology; Gu Haibin, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Resources and Environment; Wang Lei, Associate Professor at the Research Center for Engineering Technologies in Agricultural Informatization; Yasen Shali, PhD, Research Supervisor at the Department of Entomology and Pesticide Science; and Erzhan Khalem, PhD, Lecturer at the School of Computer and Information Engineering.
Particular attention was paid to the development of research in forestry, hydrology, environmental monitoring, digitalization of the agro-industrial sector, geographic information systems, information technologies, and the integration of artificial intelligence into agriculture.
The parties also discussed opportunities for jointly developing international research projects, organizing research internships, expanding academic mobility for master’s and doctoral students, preparing joint research publications, and holding international conferences.
The parties expressed their interest in exchanging experience in applying digital technologies and artificial intelligence to improve natural resource management, monitor water resources, and enhance agricultural production.
Following the meeting, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University and Xinjiang Agricultural University reached a mutual understanding on expanding research and educational cooperation, conducting joint research, and strengthening international partnerships.
The meeting is expected to take the strategic partnership between the two universities to a new level and provide additional momentum for the development of scientific and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
