LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS COURSE HELD FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

On August 5–6, 2026, the Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Studies at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized and delivered a professional development course for civil servants of the Border Guard Service Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the East Kazakhstan Region, titled “Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness in Unit Management.”

The primary objective of the program was to enhance the managerial competencies of Border Guard unit leaders, develop leadership skills, optimize team performance, and introduce modern methodologies for fulfilling official duties.

The training was conducted by Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Yuliya Yevgenyevna Kukina.

During the sessions, participants examined the key functions of leadership in staff motivation, management system audit techniques, and methods for assessing and leveraging personal leadership and professional capabilities. Additionally, attendees explored contemporary management strategies designed to boost workplace engagement and drive.

Upon completing the course, Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University Irina Vladimirovna Rovnyakova formally presented participants with certificates of program completion.

Representing the Border Guard Service Department of the National Security Committee for East Kazakhstan Region, Colonel Zhumakhan Makhanovich Abilbekov expressed appreciation to the university leadership and faculty for the high standard of program delivery and their contribution to advancing the professional qualifications of public servants.

The course represents a key educational initiative aimed at enhancing managerial capacity, fostering a leadership culture, and improving performance standards across the civil service sector.
