AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO TAKE PART IN ASIAN PARALYMPIC GAMES

Nurali Sovetkanov, a student of S. Amanzholov University, is actively preparing for the Asian Paralympic Games in China. The young man is visually impaired, but despite his disability, he annually competes in the disciplines of “breaststroke” and “water style”.

In 2021, Nurali became a finalist at the XVI Summer Paralympic Games in Japan. In 2022 – took second place in the Kazakhstan Para Swimming Championship among adults. In 2023 – won second and third place in Germany.
According to the student of “Physical Education and Sports”, his current goal is to reach the championship in China.

More than 4,000 athletes from 43 Asian countries will gather at the IV Asian Para Games. Kazakhstan will be represented by 131 athletes in 14 sports.
