SEMINAR ON INTERNATIONAL TAXATION AND THE ENVIRONMENT

A seminar dedicated to international taxation and environmental issues was held on the basis of S. Amanzholov EKU. The organizer was the company “Fortune Partners”, providing consulting services in the field of law, tax, customs and environmental legislation.
The purpose of the seminar was to solve discussion issues on international taxation, jurisdiction of investment disputes, appealing environmental audits, as well as to develop a common vision for the development of tax and environmental law for business development. The seminar was attended by employees of the department for organization of educational and methodical work of the university, teachers of the Department of Law and Economics, Management and Finance, representatives of the judicial system, state revenue authorities, Kazakhstani tax and legal consultants, major businessmen of the region.
During the meeting speakers and participants discussed the actual execution of transactions within the framework of desk control, international taxation, issues of jurisdiction of disputes involving investors and subsoil users, as well as practical aspects of challenging the results of environmental audits.
