The lecture organized by Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of NPLC “Semey Medical University” on “About influence of energy drinks on the body of teenagers” was held in the Higher College. Students listened with great interest to the speakers, who provided all the necessary data and facts about the consequences of the use of such drinks by teenagers.
The lecture was as informative and accessible as possible. The speakers shared the results of the studies, pointing out that energy drinks significantly affect the body of teenagers. They emphasized that this category of drinks often contains high amounts of caffeine and sugar, which can lead to increased heart rate, insomnia and nervousness in adolescents.
The students of Superior College took an active part in the discussion of this problem, asking many questions to the speakers. The effects of energy drinks on academic performance, athletic performance, and the growth and development of the adolescent body were discussed. Many students became aware of the danger of energy drinks consumption and expressed the need for more active information work in this direction.
