AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENT WON THE AKYN CONTEST

Student of Educational Programm “Kazakh Language and Literature” Bekarys Sekenov became the winner of the V International Competition of Young Poets «РУХТЫ ЕЛДІҢ ҰРПАҚТАРЫ». The event, held on the basis of KazATIU named after S. Seifullin, was dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Kazakh writer and poet.

– The competition was not easy, but the emotions were extremely positive. I felt it was my duty to win this competition, so I prepared hard,” Bekarys said.

After the solemn announcement of the winner, the EKU student was awarded a cash prize of 100,000 tenge.

A total of 69 students from 38 educational institutions of the country took part in the event. In addition, young poets from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Karakalpakstan and Uzbekistan also participated.
