A COMPETITION FOR THE AWARDING OF A PERSONAL SCHOLARSHIP WAS HELD

Amanzholov University held a competition to award a scholarship named after Uvaliev Y.K. The monetary reward is aimed at stimulating students to active scientific and social activities, as well as to perpetuate the memory of Yumash Karimovich Uvaliev – an outstanding teacher, scientist, honorary rector of the alma mater.
Under the terms of the competition, the winner is promised a monthly payment of 35,000 tenge for one academic semester.
Seven ambitious children became applicants of the personalized scholarship: Zhasasynov Elzhas, Sarsenbaev Zhiger, Zhailaubaeva Aida, Egorin Daniil, Makarenko Artem, Kurmanbekuly Sayat and Abdrakhmanova Karina. All of them presented author’s projects to the competition committee. It consisted of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Rahadilov Bauyrzhan, Head of NNLCP Akatan Kydirmolla, Director of SIC “Altaytanu” Shurshitbay Mayra, Head of SIC “Surface Engineering and Tribology” Buitkenov Dastan and Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and International Cooperation Saparova Dinara.
After the presentation of the projects the students were given certificates of participation, and the name of the lucky winner of the scholarship will be known on April 12 during the large-scale celebration of Nauryz meiramy.
It should be noted that the applicants of the scholarship can be students of 2-4 courses, who meet the established requirements. In particular, GPA above 3.5 for the current year of study and active participation in research activities of the university.
