EKU RECTOR SIGNED A MEMORANDUM WITH THE RECTOR OF THE “MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF FAMILIES”

Today the list of partners of the alma mater was enlarged. Rector of EKU Mukhtar Tolegen signed a memorandum with the Rector of “Semey Medical University” Altay Dyusupov. At the official meeting in Semey together with the first head of the university a delegation of faculty members arrived. Among them are associate professors of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy Madina Aurenova and Bibinur Zhumagalieva, as well as the head of the department Malika Bekbaeva.

The purpose of the agreement is to cooperate in the training and retraining of special educators and rehabilitation specialists in the educational programmes “Ergopedagogy” and “Early Support Pedagogy”. In addition, regular lectures, master-classes, round tables and joint research activities are planned.

During the meeting, the participants also discussed the concept of development of the research centre for early rehabilitation and habilitation. According to the representatives of the universities, the current number of special children necessitates the improvement of habilitation, rehabilitation and correctional work in special and general education schools.
