SHYGYS-BASTAU, COWORKING, IT-HUB: INNOVATION CENTERS OPENED IN AMANZHOLOV UNIVRSITY

Amanzholov University opened its doors to physics, biology and chemistry classrooms equipped with advanced equipment for practical training of students. Three subject rooms in the framework of the project “Modernization of Secondary Education” equipped the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan with funding from the World Bank.

In addition, the multidisciplinary university now has a technopark “Shygys-BASTAU”, aimed at the development of startup projects and innovative business system, as well as IT-Hub, which unites IT-specialists for the development of digitalization in the region. The new space includes a media hall, “Idea Room”, “Lounge zone” and dialog zone.

-In the Five Social Initiatives, the Head of State emphasized that universities should become a strategic center contributing to the social and economic development of the country. Therefore, one of the primary tasks is to modernize the material and technical base of universities,” said Mukhtar Tolegen, rector of the university.

The list of new facilities includes the Center for Sustainable Development, which supports the UN Agenda, and the “EdSmart Premium” multimedia interactive video recording studio. The digital lab is equipped with video-audio equipment, which enables teachers to prepare educational content and courses for the Coursera platform using modern methods and tools.

Coworking is organized for students with a Smart Library, as well as areas for individual, collaborative and creative work. In the new academic year, students will be able to appreciate the space with a designer interior and ergonomic transformer furniture.
