SUMMER UNIVERSITY PROJECT: EVENING OF NATIONAL HOSPITALITY

Ural Federal University hosted an evening of national hospitality, where participants demonstrated folk dances and treated each other to national dishes.

-The dances of students from Tajikistan, India and Belarus were very bright and fiery. The treats from Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Algeria were the most to my liking. Thank you to the organizers for an interesting event. We got acquainted with the cultural peculiarities of each country, – said Evelina Kaun, a student of Amanzholov University.

In turn, students of the alma mater played a traditional Kazakh ritual “Betashar” – acquaintance of the bride with her husband’s relatives. During the skit, young people sang the famous song “Zhar-Zhar”, shared good wishes and sprinkled candy on the participants, demonstrating the ritual “Shashu”.

In addition, the participants of the “Summer University” had time to visit the international exhibition of innovative developments in Ekaterinburg – INNOPROM-2024.
