GERMAN PROFESSOR EXPLORES EAST KAZAKHSTAN

Professor Johannes Reckel from Georg August University of Göttingen arrived by the invitation of Rector Mukhtar Tolegen. He is a specialist in the field of scientific research on East and Central Asia, an expert in Altaic, Siberian, Paleo-Asian languages, ethnology, general linguistics and literary studies.

The professor’s recent works are devoted to petroglyphs and stone balbalas in Mongolia and Central Asia, which is why he came to East Kazakhstan.

During his stay at the university Johannes Reckel met with archeologist Zeinolla Samashev and the director of SRC “Altaytanu” Maira Tarlaubai. The guest from Germany discussed with colleagues promising projects on history and archeology.

In the near future in Akbaur will be held a scientific seminar “Altay – the basis of the Turkic world” with the participation of professor, scientific delegation from the D. Banzarov Buryat State Pedagogical Institute and professor of L. Gumilev ENU Zadash Dukenbaeva. The organizers will be specialists of SRC “Altaytanu”.
