AN EXCURSION FOR FUTURE NUCLEAR PHYSICISTS AND CHEMISTS WAS HELD

The Department of Academic Policy and Educational Programme Management of EKU organised an excursion for students to the academic building No. 8. More than 20 second-year students of the educational programmes ‘Nuclear Physics and Atomic Energy’ and ‘Chemistry and Nanomaterials’ got acquainted with the material and technical base of the National Scientific Laboratory of Collective Use. Junior researcher Nariman Kayyrbekov presented the equipped laboratories and modern equipment necessary for scientific breakthroughs. In particular, texture analyser, nanosizer, optical microscope, potentiostat and others.
According to Nariman Kayyrbekov, those wishing to start research activities at the National Scientific Laboratory for Collective Use can start at the stage of students.

-Today the professions of chemist and nuclear physicist are especially relevant. We have been implementing these educational programmes for several years, thus effectively forming and replenishing the country’s talent pool. We have decided to organise several excursions to the practice bases. The next meetings will be held in NNC RK, UMP JSC, etc.,’ said Ainur Kozybaeva, Head of the Project Office of the Department for Organisation of Educational and Methodological Work.
