GUEST LECTURE FROM AN ITALIAN UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR

Within the framework of co-operation with Italian universities, Professor Guido Amoretti from the University of Genoa (Italy) gave a guest lecture on the theme “Psychology of Tourism”. The lecture aroused great interest not only among students, but also among the teaching staff of our university.

We would like to remind that within the framework of international co-operation the University received two professors from partner universities of Italy: Professor Guido Amoretti from the University of Genoa and Professor Alessandro Figus from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. The purpose of their visit was to discuss double degree programmes, which allow students to receive two equal diplomas – Kazakh and Italian.

As part of the professors’ visit, a meeting was held with the deans of the Higher Schools, the director of the Department of Academic Policy and Management of Educational Programmes, heads of departments and managers of educational programmes. They discussed the main directions and methodology of development of double degree programmes, which will be an important stage in the development of academic mobility and international partnership.

It should be noted that last week the Italian side approved the first double degree programme on the Master’s programme “Tourism”. This is a significant step in the development of international educational programmes and opportunities for students of our university.
