AN OPEN LECTURE WAS HELD IN HONOR OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF TURAR RYSKULOV

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an open lecture for students, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the statesman and public figure Turar Ryskulov.
The speaker of the event was Senior Lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines Mr. Gulnur Mutan. The event was attended by faculty and students.


During the lecture the merits of Turar Ryskulov in different years of his labor activity were discussed in detail. In particular, the participants mentioned that Mr. Ryskulov drafted the Constitution of the country, decisions on financial and economic policy, new program and charter of Mongolia. In 1924, he took part in the discussion of agenda issues, including the renaming of the capital. At his suggestion, the capital of Mongolia was named Ulaanbaatar — Red Bogatyr.


-Such events help young people to understand and remember historical events, their causes and consequences, and to form their views. The life experience of Turar Ryskulov teaches young people perseverance, honesty and justice, — said Gulnur Mutan.


Turar Ryskulov is the leader of the national liberation movement of Turkic peoples of Turkestan, an outstanding statesman and public figure, a major scientist, publicist, historian and diplomat.
