Academic mobility
The international activities of the university play an important role in enriching students' educational experience and promoting scientific and cultural exchange.
Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University actively cooperates with foreign universities, research centers, and international organizations, consistently expanding the geography of its partnerships and educational opportunities for students.
The university implements academic mobility programs, double degree programs, joint research projects, and international educational initiatives aimed at improving the quality of specialist training and integrating the university into the global educational space.

About academic mobility
About the program
Academic mobility is a form of organizing educational and research activities that involves studying or conducting research at another higher and (or) postgraduate education institution for a certain academic period (a semester or an academic year).
Within the framework of academic mobility, students and members of the teaching staff of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University may study, undertake internships, or carry out research projects at a foreign or domestic partner university. The courses completed are recognized in the form of academic credits at the home university, or students may continue their studies at the host institution.

Procedure for Student Participation in Academic Mobility Programs
Funded by the Republican Budget
Students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University are provided with the opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs funded by the republican budget. The competitive selection is conducted in three stages in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
The first stage involves assessing the foreign language proficiency of applicants. Students meeting the following requirements are eligible to participate:
Language requirements
- Foreign language proficiency — at least B2 level
- IELTS — minimum 5.5
- TOEFL IBT — minimum 46
- In the absence of an international certificate, a certificate issued by the "Til Alemi" Multilingual Education Center, equivalent to an international certificate, is accepted
Candidates who successfully pass the first stage submit a full set of documents within the established deadlines and undergo a mandatory competitive interview. The interview assesses academic performance, motivation, alignment of the chosen field with the educational program, and communicative and academic competencies.

- Application form and questionnaire (completed by hand in written form)
- Color copy of international passport
- Transcript confirming GPA of at least 3.5 (with required signatures and stamps of CIS "PARASAT")
- Copy of secondary school certificate with grades
- Document confirming foreign language proficiency (one of the following):
- International certificate: IELTS — min. 5.5 / TOEFL iBT — min. 46
- or certificate from the "Til Alemi" Multilingual Education Center
- Two recommendation letters (from the Dean and Head of Department)
- Written consent of parents (legal guardians) for travel abroad
- Certificates from psychoneurological and narcological dispensaries (via eGov.kz)
- Document on family composition confirming preferential status (if applicable)
- Documents confirming achievements (if applicable)
Upon successfully completing the second stage and receiving a recommendation for study abroad, students are required to submit the established package of documents for processing travel abroad. Providing the full package of documents is a mandatory condition for sending the student to the host institution.

- Copy of transcript in Russian with stamps (processed at CIS "PARASAT")
- Medical certificate in form No. 072-u
- Student's receipt
- Protocol (agreement) between universities
- Questionnaire for persons traveling abroad
- Copy of passport and identity document
- Invitation from the host university (original and translation signed by a translator)
- Receipt from parents (legal guardians)
With the support of the University
Students who were placed on the reserve list following the state-funded selection process and who meet the established requirements may participate in the university-funded competitive selection.
Requirements for participants
- English language proficiency at least at B2 level (IELTS — minimum 5.5, TOEFL iBT — minimum 46)
- Grade Point Average (GPA) — at least 3.5
- A certificate issued by the "Til Alemi" Multilingual Education Center is given priority during competitive selection
Study at the Student's Own Expense
This format allows students to study at a foreign partner university with the consent of the host institution and in compliance with the academic requirements of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.
A mandatory condition for participation is confirmed foreign language proficiency meeting the requirements of the host university.
