AKIMATS HAVE AWARDED ABOUT 2 THOUSAND GRANTS TO APPLICANTS

For the 2025-2026 academic year, applications from local executive bodies for state educational grants on a competitive basis have been started. Akimats annually allocate grants for targeted training in priority specialties.

This year local executive bodies allocated 1,729 educational grants.

It should be noted that 526 grants are allocated by the akimat of the capital – this is the highest indicator among akimats. On the second place – East Kazakhstan region (299 grants), followed by: Shymkent city – 285, Atyrau region – 265, Zhambyl region – 215, Abay region – 200, Turkestan region – 180, West Kazakhstan region – 128, Mangistau region – 108. Other regions provide less than 100 grants.

To participate in the competition for the award of educational grants, the applicant must submit an application to the admission committee of the university. It is also necessary to submit a document on education, a certificate of UNT, a copy of an identity document, documents confirming the privileged category (if any).

Information about the deadlines for accepting documents can be obtained from akimats, as well as from the admission commissions of universities. The decision on granting a grant is made by a special commission established under the akimat. Admission to higher education institutions will end on August 25.
