EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN AWARDED THE “4 STARS” MARK OF EXCELLENCE IN THE INTERNATIONAL RATING “QS STARS RATING SYSTEM”

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University was awarded the “4 stars” mark of excellence in the international rating “QS Stars Rating System”. Among Kazakhstani universities only 17 universities are awarded four stars.

In the new rating S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University received the maximum rating of “5 stars” in the profiles ‘Education’ and “Employment Opportunities”. The following figures were also announced: high level of satisfaction (88%), graduation rate (89.8%) and student retention (93%). The profiles “Services”, “Modern Languages” and “Effective Management” were given a rating of “4 stars”.

In addition, the following were noted:

Good infrastructure: availability of sports facilities, hostels, medical center, computer classes and laboratories.

Employability: 116 nominations in the QS Global Employer Survey, high graduate employment rate (96.7%).

Good governance: existence of anti-corruption policy, inclusion, 54% employee satisfaction.

Social impact: participation in the development of the region (58.2% of graduates work in the region), percentage of students from low-income families – 13.53%.

Innovation: more than 10 industrial research collaborations.

Global engagement: 1.82% international students, 6.73% international faculty.

The EP “Foreign Language: two foreign languages” was recognized as one of the strongest educational programs.

These indicators demonstrate the rapid development of the university in different areas, is a reference point for partners and international experts in the field of education, as well as an attractive criterion in the choice of educational institution for applicants.

The QS Stars rating system thoroughly evaluates universities on key criteria: teaching, infrastructure, sustainable development, research and graduate employability.
