SUMMER UNIVERSITY IN KAZAN: WHEN IDEAS BECOME REALITY
From July 21 to August 3, Kazan Federal University became a center of attraction for more than 300 students from 32 countries. For two weeks, the participants of the Summer University-2025 project studied, created, familiarized themselves with the culture of Tatarstan and defended their own projects.
The first day began with the official opening ceremony at the UNICS cultural and sports complex. After the welcoming speeches, the participants had a walk around the historic KFU campus, the first networking session and an evening in the Universiade Village. The atmosphere immediately set the tone – intensity, friendship and ideas.
The main educational area was the “Russian Horizons: Dream, Learn, Create” track. It united students from different countries and regions, giving them the opportunity not only to listen to lectures and excursions, but also to develop projects addressing important social and cultural issues.
Rakhmetullanova Arna Farhadqyzy, a 3rd year student (Russian Language and Literature), presented the project “MURA: Preserving the Heritage of Turkic Peoples”, which took the 1st place.
“The trip to Kazan became for me a real inspiration and a new stage of personal and professional growth. Kazan conquered me with its culture and hospitality, and the Summer University gave me confidence that young people can change the future today,” Arna said.
Kaun Evelina, a 3rd year student (Management), became the leader of the “Combination” team. Together with participants from Uzbekistan, Krasnoyarsk, Saratov and Ufa, she worked on the project “Beige Childhood”. Their idea took the 3rd place.
“We talked about the important topic of modern motherhood and offered real ways to solve it. This experience showed that trust, joint work and exchange of ideas can lead to significant results”, – Evelina notes.
Lyapunova Anastasia, 4th year student (OP “Russian Language and Literature”), participated in the development of the project “Oxia – an invigorating drink from natural products” in an international team with representatives from Kazakhstan and Nigeria.
“The Summer University gave me inspiration, confidence in my abilities and belief in the importance of international cooperation,” says Anastasia.
In addition, the Summer University hosted the VII Asian Student Forum “Russia-Asia 2025”, where young people discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The Summer University has become not just a series of lectures and excursions, but a space where ideas are born and trust is built between people from different countries.
