INFORMATIVE MEETING FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

At S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, deans of Higher Schools and academic advisors held an informational and explanatory meeting for newly admitted students. The speakers provided detailed information about the organization of the educational process.

The event brought together university vice-rectors, faculty members, specialists from the student service center “PARASAT,” and senior student activists.

During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Cooperation Irina Rovnyakova emphasized that the university provides comprehensive support to its students.

“Every student who has chosen our university has already taken the first step toward achieving their goal. Moving forward, East Kazakhstan University will continue to support you in every possible way. For example, we offer a free English language course. You also have a unique opportunity to take part in international internships through the academic mobility program,” said the Vice-Rector.

The university also provides a high level of social support for students, along with spaces for productive and meaningful leisure activities.

“At our university, free clubs and courses are available for young people interested in arts and crafts, dramatic reading, sports, and other creative fields. The student dormitory offers all the necessary facilities for the well-rounded development of each individual. Students can come to us with any questions—academic advisors and department heads are their first and most reliable mentors,” said Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work Zhanneta Kalimoldina.

At the end of the meeting, a campus tour was organized for the first-year students. They visited the university’s scientific library, museum, coworking center, and the Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala”, located in Academic Building No. 1.

It is worth noting that S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University cooperates with more than 200 foreign universities and research centers. Thanks to these partnerships, students have the opportunity to complete internships abroad and expand their educational horizons.
