FRESHMEN TRACK AND FIELD RUN AT VKU

Amanzholov University hosted a traditional athletics race “Hello University” among first-year students. The sporting event, which has become a good tradition at the university, gathered a lot of participants and spectators.

Rector of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen addressed the students with a farewell speech.

-Sport is not only physical activity, but also an important school of character. There are no easy victories in sports, each peak is reached through labor, discipline and aspiration to development. I am proud that our students show high activity and interest in a healthy lifestyle from the first days of their studies, – said the rector.

Alexander Kruglikov, a lecturer of the Department of Culture, Sports and Primary Military Training, acted as the chief judge of the competition.

Freshmen overcame distances:
girls – 800 meters;
boys – 1 kilometer.
