AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AT ALTAI STATE UNIVERSITY

Students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University are taking part in the 4th International Altaistic Forum “The Slavic-Turkic World in the Greater Altai: History and Modernity”, held from September 14 to 17 at Altai State University.

Today, students of the “History” educational program visited the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of Altai, where Museum Director Yaroslav Frolov introduced the guests to the exhibition “The First Miners and Metallurgists of Altai: From the Bronze Age to Akinfiy Demidov.” Dedicated to the 300th anniversary of mining in Altai, the exhibition presents a broad panorama of the region’s historical and cultural heritage.

Tomorrow, the main part of the program begins: plenary and sectional sessions, experience exchange, academic discussions, and meetings with scholars — opening wide opportunities for both professional and personal growth of each participant.

“We express our gratitude to the Rector of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Mukhtar Adilbekovich, for creating the conditions for participation in such events and for supporting academic and educational cooperation with Altai State University. Thanks to his initiative and attention to the development of scientific and international activities, we have the opportunity to take part in such significant forums, representing our university, strengthening its reputation and partnerships,” said EKU student Timur Dyussenov.

The cooperation between Sarsen Amanzholov EKU and Altai State University — in education, academic mobility, research projects, and forums — serves as a strong example for further strengthening ties between the universities of Kazakhstan and Russia.
