Project: “Silver University”
“Silver University” is a project aimed at creating favorable conditions for the successful adaptation of elderly people to modern life, as well as fostering self-education and self-improvement.
The main goal of “Silver University”:
To increase the social activity of the older generation.
Objectives of “Silver University”:
- Improving computer literacy skills;
- Increasing financial and legal literacy;
- Learning and deepening knowledge of foreign languages;
- Understanding age-related psychology;
- Promoting health and wellness.
Faculty members of the university are involved in the implementation of the project.
Classes at “Silver University” are organized in the following areas:

- Legal Literacy
- Spiritual Development
- Healthy Lifestyle
- Language Learning

- Art Therapy: Drawing Therapy. Socio-psychological Health Factors. Working with Metaphorical Cards: “The Age of Happiness”
- Rational, Therapeutic, and Dietary Nutrition (Рационалды, емдік және диеталық тамақтану)
- Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking after 50
- English for Tourists (for communication) (Туристерге арналған ағылшын тілі (байланыс үшін))
- Using ICT for Working on Social Media (Әлеуметтік желілерде жұмыс істеу үшін АКТ қолдану)
- Basics of Business and Entrepreneurship (Бизнес және кәсіпкерлік негіздері)
- Chess for Adult Beginners (Жаңадан бастаған ересектерге арналған шахмат)
Training at “Silver University” is conducted according to a one-year plan.
Classes are held twice a week.
Each class lasts 1 academic hour.
Each course lasts no more than 1.5 to 2 months.
Schedules are arranged based on the preferences of the participants.
The list of activity areas may be expanded based on the needs and requests of potential learners.
Each group consists of no more than 12 participants.
Forms of instruction: lectures, seminars, and training sessions — all conducted in a group format.
Formats: offline and online.
Upon course completion, a certificate is issued.
