PREVENTION OF GAMBLING ADDICTION: AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE RISKS OF GAMBLING

As part of the national project “Prevention of Gambling Addiction among the Youth of Kazakhstan”, psychologist Gulnara Islamzhanova from Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University conducts informational and educational work among students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University.

Within the framework of the project, lectures, training sessions, and individual consultations are held, aimed at raising awareness among young people about the risks of gambling and developing a stable motivation for a healthy lifestyle.

Students received a lot of useful and interesting information on how to recognize the signs of gambling addiction, control gaming behavior, and seek psychological support if necessary.

The project contributes to fostering a responsible attitude toward entertainment and the development of critical thinking among youth, while also supporting the state strategy for the prevention of gambling addiction in Kazakhstan.
