PRIDE OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: FRESHMAN BECOMES TWO-TIME WORLD CHAMPION

This past weekend, the Youth World Kettlebell Sport Championship was held in Hainan, China, where Nurym Didaruly, a student of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, delivered an outstanding performance. The tournament brought together the strongest juniors from various countries, but it was the representative of Amanzholov University who became one of the main revelations and triumphant winners of the competition.

The freshman of the educational program “Physical Culture and Sports” won two gold medals, becoming a two-time world champion in the weight category up to 73 kg. In the first discipline — long cycle (biathlon) — Nurym lifted two 24 kg kettlebells 53 times, which was the best result among all participants. In the second discipline — snatch of a 24 kg kettlebell — the athlete demonstrated outstanding technique and strength, completing 163 lifts. This result not only earned him the gold medal but also set a new record.

Thus, the student of Amanzholov University confirmed his high level of training and will to win in a single tournament, proving that he is capable of competing with the strongest young athletes in the world.

It is worth noting that Nurym Didaruly has been practicing kettlebell sport for only four years, yet during this time he has achieved impressive success. He holds the title of Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and had previously become the Asian champion at a competition in Bishkek. His rapid athletic development and consistently high results deserve great admiration.

The university administration, faculty, and students proudly congratulate Nurym Didaruly on this outstanding achievement on the international stage.
