“KAZAKHSTAN IN THE ERA OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”: THE NATIONAL DEBATE TOURNAMENT “DILMAR CUP” CONCLUDED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the initiative of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, the traditional national debate tournament DILMAR CUP has concluded. This year, the intellectual competition was held under the theme “Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence” and brought together talented young people from various regions of the country.

About 30 debaters from the East Kazakhstan, Abai, and Pavlodar regions took part in the large-scale tournament. Over the course of two days, they competed by demonstrating their knowledge and ability to argue their positions. The main goal of the tournament was to develop a culture of public speaking among young people, improve oratory skills, and foster critical and quick thinking.

During the competition, participants discussed pressing social issues, presenting their views on the impact of artificial intelligence on societal development, digitalization processes, technological ethics, and the future of human capital. The debates were also aimed at promoting spiritual and moral values based on the “Tolyq Adam” concept.

Throughout the two-day tournament, participants demonstrated a high level of logical thinking, well-structured argumentation, teamwork, and leadership qualities. Following the final stage, the best teams and individual participants were identified, and the winners were awarded special prizes.

It should be noted that the national debate tournament DILMAR CUP is held annually as a long-standing tradition. Implemented with the support of University Rector Mukhtar Tolegen, this intellectual event has become a platform for experience exchange among young debaters and makes a significant contribution to strengthening intellectual, cultural, and creative ties between higher education institutions.
