ATHLETES OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: THE PRIDE OF THE REGION AND THE COUNTRY

On the eve of Independence Day, a ceremonial award ceremony for the region’s top athletes was held at the Akimat of the East Kazakhstan Region. The honors were presented to those who достойно represent the region and the country at world and Asian championships, international tournaments, the Spartakiad, and national competitions. These victories are the result of many years of hard work, strict discipline, and sincere dedication to their chosen field.

Athletes from East Kazakhstan consistently make a significant contribution to Kazakhstan’s medal tally. Among the award recipients were students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University who successfully combine academic studies with professional sports, bringing recognition to their university and region on the international stage. The athletes’ achievements confirm the high level of training and the systematic work of coaching staffs.

Among the outstanding representatives of university sports, kickboxers Yernur Kaiyrbekov and Maksat Yerlanuly were honored.

Yernur Kaiyrbekov is a third-year student of the “Physical Culture and Sports” educational program at Amanzholov University. He is a two-time World Cup winner, the current national champion of Kazakhstan among adults, a medalist of the world championship, and an International Master of Sport in kickboxing.

Maksat Yerlanuly is also a student of Amanzholov University, studying at the Higher School of Pedagogy and representing kickboxing. He is a world championship finalist, an Asian champion, a World Cup winner, and an International Master of Sport.

Highlighting the achievements of the athletes and coaches, regional leaders emphasized the importance of creating comfortable and professional conditions for sports training. The development of sports infrastructure and support programs remains a priority, as it is a necessary foundation for preparing new champions and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University will continue to consistently develop sports, support talented athletes and their mentors, and expand access to training and competitions. The victories of our athletes strengthen the authority of the region and the country on the international stage and serve as an example for the younger generation.
