At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, the annual Kazakh wrestling tournament “Kolledzh Barys – 2025” was held among students of technical and vocational education institutions in the East Kazakhstan region.
The ceremonial opening of the competition took place in a festive atmosphere. The athletes entered the tatami to the sounds of national music, followed by the performance of the State Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The tournament is held annually as part of the “Kolledzh Barys” project and aims to popularize the national sport of Kazakh wrestling (qazaq kuresi), foster strength of spirit, patriotism, respect for national traditions, and strengthen the physical fitness of young people. This year, the competition was dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The strongest college wrestlers from the East Kazakhstan region participated in the competition, demonstrating a high level of skill, determination to win, endurance, and respect for their opponents.

Asanali Armanuly (Tuye Paluan) — a fourth-year student of the Higher Medical College.
In the weight category up to 80 kg, the winner was
Rasul Askhatuly (Oghiz Paluan) — a third-year student of the East Kazakhstan Abai Humanitarian College.
The “Kolledzh Barys – 2025” tournament became a bright sporting event, bringing together the youth of the region and highlighting the importance of national sports as an essential part of the cultural heritage and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation.
