AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY — A TERRITORY OF GOODNESS: STUDENTS SUPPORT VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION

In February 2026, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared the month as voluntary blood donation month. The initiative aims to promote a culture of voluntary donation, strengthen the values of mutual aid, and foster social responsibility in society.

As part of the campaign, the volunteer group of the Red Crescent Society — first- and second-year students of the “History and Social Studies” program, together with their supervisor A. Omarkanova — organized a blood donation drive with the support of the regional branch of the Red Crescent Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Active participation in the event was taken by volunteers — students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University: B. Zatsarin, A. Shcherbakova, A. Akazhanova, S. Erkinbekov, D. Bakytzhan, R. Zhukonev, B. Mursalimov, R. Polatbaev, and E. Altaeva. They supported the initiative to promote voluntary blood donation and contributed to saving lives.

Staff from the regional branch of the Red Crescent Society provided medical support during the event, ensured compliance with all sanitary standards and safety requirements, and offered consultations to all who wished to become potential donors.
