A LECTURE ENTITLED “DOMESTIC VIOLENCE — A PROBLEM THAT MUST NOT BE SILENCED” WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the Department of Ecology and Geography of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a lecture-training session entitled “Domestic Violence — A Problem That Must Not Be Silenced” was held for students of the educational programs “Ecology” and “Hydroecology, Management and Transboundary Water Security.”

During the meeting, participants comprehensively examined issues related to the prevention of domestic violence, its types, causes, and consequences. Students received important information about the rights of victims, available support services, and existing protection measures.

The event was conducted in an open dialogue format: students actively participated in discussions, shared their views, and asked questions of interest. Special attention was given to fostering a principle of zero tolerance toward violence, increasing legal awareness, and strengthening social responsibility.

Such meetings contribute to raising youth awareness, reinforcing the values of mutual respect, and shaping a conscious attitude toward the problem of domestic violence.

The event was conducted at a high professional level by psychologist Alexandra Romanovskaya from the “Ulba City Territorial Center for Social Services” (Municipal Public Institution). The organization of the event involved Associate Professor, PhD Zh.K. Zhaznayeva, Master of Natural Sciences and Senior Lecturer B.S.
