ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES FOR LAWYERS OF THE EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGION HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Bar Association of the East Kazakhstan Region and Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, and with the support of the Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Education, advanced training courses for lawyers of the East Kazakhstan Region were held from February 19 to 20, 2026. The program was entitled “Legal Regulation of Advocacy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
The main objective of the courses was to enhance the professional competence of lawyers, provide in-depth study of the lawyer’s role in public law disputes, and facilitate the exchange of advanced experience and up-to-date knowledge in the field of legal practice. The educational process was delivered by leading legal experts and representatives of state bodies directly involved in law enforcement activities.
The course program covered key areas of modern legal practice, including:
The activities of lawyers in the field of financial monitoring;
The Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses;
The Administrative Procedural and Process Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The speakers included Azamat Zhumanov, Senior Investigator for Particularly Important Cases at the Department of Economic Investigations for the East Kazakhstan Region of the Agency for Financial Monitoring of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Farhad Kamalov, Judge of the East Kazakhstan Regional Court; and Dinara Karimova, Judge of the Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court of the East Kazakhstan Region and Master of Law.
During the sessions, participants examined current issues in law enforcement practice, specifics of interaction between lawyers and state authorities, and modern trends in the development of administrative legislation. Special attention was given to practical aspects and the analysis of specific case studies.
In total, 122 lawyers from the East Kazakhstan Region took part in the courses. The organization of such educational events contributes to strengthening the professional community, improving the quality of legal assistance, and further developing the institution of advocacy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
