A DISCUSSION ON NEW METHODS OF WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a scientific and practical platform was held on the topic “From Theory to Practice: New Methods of Working with Children with Special Needs.”
During the event, issues related to the development of children’s talents were widely discussed, including ways to support and enhance the abilities of students with special educational needs.
The scientific and practical platform was attended by staff of the Center for Continuous and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala,” as well as faculty members and graduate students from the Department of Psychology and Special Education.
Svetlana Krivitskaya, Director of the “Aq Niet” Boarding School under the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region, and Rauan Baychinov, Head of the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region, familiarized themselves with modern methods, practical tools, and effective approaches to supporting and developing gifted children.
Special attention was paid to methodological and technological tools for supporting and assisting children with special needs, including the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostic, corrective, and developmental work.
University Rector Mukhtar Tolegen actively participated in the event and personally attended practical sessions with children. This served as a clear demonstration of his strong support for initiatives in inclusive and continuous education.
The results of the scientific and practical platform were presented by Deputy Chairperson of the Board – Vice-Rector for Scientific, Technical, and Educational Activities Irina Rovnyakova.
During practical sessions with children, a robotic dog named “Chipik” was used to ask children questions and organize fun and engaging activities. This, in turn, increased participants’ interest and created an active and lively atmosphere.
The meeting showcased technological tools and methods for working with children with special educational needs. These were developed within the framework of the commercialization project of the “Competence Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, and Methodological-Technological Support for Children with Special Educational Needs” (project leader – Dosym Yerbolatovich).
The event served as an effective platform for fostering professional dialogue between the university and educational organizations, exchanging experiences, and strengthening mutual cooperation.
