AN OPEN LECTURE BY A FORENSIC CENTER SPECIALIST WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

An open lecture titled “Different Banknotes and Their Distinctive Features” was held at the Department of Chemistry of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The lecture was delivered by Arman Mulikov, Deputy Head of the Operational Forensic Department of the Police Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Police Lieutenant Colonel, and a graduate of the specialty “Chemical Forensic Environmental Expertise.”

During the event, the lecturer introduced students to various banknotes from his personal collection, explained their practical significance, and described the key differences between genuine and counterfeit currency. Particular attention was paid to modern methods of forensic analysis, techniques for detecting counterfeits, and the use of chemical and physical examination methods in the professional work of a forensic specialist.

In addition, Arman Zhetylbekovich explained the requirements and qualification characteristics that determine the professional significance of specialists in the field of forensic science, emphasizing the role of specialized education and practical experience in forming a competent expert.

The lecture was attended by students of the educational programs “Chemical Forensic Examination,” “Chemistry and Nanomaterials,” and “Jurisprudence.” During the practical part of the session, specific professional situations were discussed, including issues of preventing expert misconduct and corruption, as well as the ethical and legal aspects of forensic work.

Students actively participated in the discussion by asking relevant questions, sharing their opinions, and analyzing real cases from practice. Questions from the students were also answered by Ainur Akhmetova, a forensic specialist of the Operational Forensic Department of the Police Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Police Major, and a dual education specialist at the Department of Chemistry.

The event clearly demonstrated the important role of the interaction between education and practice in training qualified, responsible, and socially conscious specialists capable of effectively working in the field of forensic science and law enforcement.
