KÖRISU KUNI WAS CELEBRATED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY – THE AMAL HOLIDAY

At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, the first day of the Nauryznama decade — “Körisu kuni” (the Amal holiday) — was celebrated. The festive event, based on national traditions, was dedicated to promoting spiritual values that encourage unity and harmony among the university staff and students. The event was organized by the Department of Educational Work and Social Affairs.

Körisu kuni is one of the ancient and kind traditions of the Kazakh people. On this day, people meet each other, inquire about one another’s health and well-being, and express sincere wishes. During the event held at the university, participants traditionally greeted each other and shared their thoughts on the significance of the Nauryz holiday.

During the celebration, national customs and traditions were presented, along with informative discussions aimed at promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. Students and faculty members wore national clothing and contributed to the revival of traditions that reflect the unique culture of the Kazakh people.

This event marked the beginning of the festive days within the Nauryznama framework and became one of the important educational activities aimed at promoting national values within the university.
